Unhooked from epics of shame
spaced by a world
that keeps growing away
This object & that one
this filling this grief this presence
& storming the ground like mountains
come to life
the tombs erect this death
around so many symbols
So many signs giving up the ghost
in the race to predetermine the rightness
of things
Accosted but uncompromising
this death assumes its own view
becomes a master all its own
